It’s a bed time story for all my precious followers.
~**~
Once upon a time, behind the highest mountains and the deepest forests, in a castle built out of donuts lived a prince, whose name was Tengo. He spent his days stuffing his face with donuts and shooting peasants that annoyed him from the tower with his sniper rifle. One day he was bored as hell and decided to leave his sweet (literary) castle to take a closer look at the people of his land. The gray reality disappointed him greatly - the people who he used to watch (and shoot) didn’t have the luxury of sweets he was so accustomed to.
Oh! What great distress it caused him—-
—-Not.
Because, really, why should he share?
That sounded just dumb.
As he wandered through the town, he noticed a tavern and decided to take a look inside.
Another disappointment. What he saw inside wasn’t really anything new. A typical sight - beggars fighting to death for the last drop of alcohol, some hos and such.
But—! What could that be? In the corner of the room stood a fine looking piano. It was nothing special to the people frequenting the tavern, but the prince was charmed by it.
He approached the instrument, kicked the musician (who obviously was doing a poor performance) off the stool and took his place. It wasn’t long before he started to play.
His performance grasped the attention of everyone in the room. He did it with such grace! Such beauty! Even the beggars stopped fighting to marvel. Along the many townspeople and adventures was a peculiar man. The prince’s playing was the first thing to caught his interes ever since he entered the tavern.
Even the beggars fighting under his table didn’t make him flinch.
When the prince noticed the attention he became flustered and stopped playing. He wasn’t used to such a large audience.
Feeling embarrassed still, he got up and quickly left the tavern. Oh! What a pity! The man sitting in the back of the tavern was disappointed. He wanted to talk with the mysterious young musician but never got the chance! He was enchanted by the way the young man handled the instrument. Briefly, he wondered? Could he meet the man again? Who was he? With these thoughts, he left the building.
Meanwhile, our Little Prince, made his way into the shadiest parts of the town. It was getting dark and he was supposed to return to his castle. How ill-considerate of him to do that! If the servants notice his disappearance, a village or two are going to be burned to the ground. But what’s worse, his donuts could be taken away from him for his behaviour!
Despicable.
As he struggled to get out of the shady area and return, a group of shady characters stood in his way. Among those people were two midgets - an old and a younger one, a beautiful mysterious woman and an odd giant. They told him they knew, who he was, announced that they are going to kidnap him and do things to him that shouldn’t be described in a fairy tale.
(Unless it’s yaoi.)
The prince wasn’t enthralled by the news. He tried to get away but all was in vain! The Odd Giant caught him his iron grip firmly held him in one place. Prince Tengo was devastated. Who is to save him if no one knows about his whereabouts?! Suddenly— out of a dark alley came out the traveller from the tavern. When he saw the young musician he decided to come closer.
“Jeego!?” The old midget croaked. “What the hell do you want?!”
“I’m interested in the young man that big weirdo is holding.” Jeego spoke coolly.
”The prince? We won’t handle him over!” The prince? Jeego was surprised. Is the man who played the piano so beautifully also the same douche who almost shot him in the arm once? ….Should he really help him? Jeego hesitated.
“Well?!” The old midget asked again. “If you have no business here then leave!” The prince was losing hope. He wanted to shout but he couldn’t find his voice. It was as if his breath was taken away!
In the end, Jeego decided to help the prince. He announced it by reloading his golden shotgun and by shooting the Giant in the face. He couldn’t see any blood because, it turned out that the Giant wasn’t even a human being! Who would have thought! By a stroke of luck, the prince was uninjured. A few inches more and he would be the one painting the pavement red. Jeego couldn’t really care less.
The Iron Giant fell to the ground and Prince Tengo was free again. The midgets were too frightened to face Jeego and the mysterious woman looked uninterested altogether in the events she was viewing.
Finally, the group, which now lacked one of its members, decided to flee, leaving Jeego and Tengo to their own devices.
“Why did you save me?” The prince asked shyly.
”I was enchanted by your performance in the tavern and wanted to know more about you. I have to admit though, I was surprised to find out you’re that douche, who tried to shoot me once.”
”Tried to shoot you?” Well, that was awkward. Tengo needed to be careful. His ‘saviour’ may have a grudge against him. He needed to play it out correctly.
”I am very sorry to hear that! I was dum—” A pause. “—ill-informed! Now that I know how my people live, I’ll try to change and make my kingdom a good place for everyone!” Jeego remained unimpressed.
”You can tell that kind of bullcrap to your mother. I don’t believe any of it.” Damn it, at least he tried. Shrugging his shoulders, Tengo started to speak once more.
“Well, you’re right I guess. Still, I can promise you a reward for saving me.” Maybe.
”I don’t want your dumb donuts.” Jeego spoke before prince could propose anything. The prince frowned, confused. “Then what is it that you want?”
Silently, the shotgun user closed the distance between them. Only now could the prince see his saviour’s beautiful eyes. Ah! What was this feeling inside of him? It felt as if he had butterflies fluttering in his stomach! Did the way Jeego looked at him made him feel this way?
Leaning close, the shotgun user whispered into the other’s ear.
”…I want you.” With these words, the prince’s face took on a darker shade.
”H-how? W-Why? I don’t understand! You said I almost shot you! Besides, we’re both guys!” Jeego just shrugged at the other’s words.
”And? What of it?” Wait. Why was he even concerned? The shotgun user was right, he supposed.
Besides, he was the prince. If someone would have a problem with him going out with a guy he could easily solve the issue. With his rifle.
“Ohh mister Jeego, ohh.” Tengo fell into the other’s embrace. “Let’s do it.” For a moment they just gazed into each other’s eyes without a word.
”Not now.” Jeego spoke coolly. “Before we can do anything you’ll have to run away with me and we’ll have all sorts of adventures.”
”Only then I will be sure that what we feel for each other is true.” And that is exactly what the prince did. His life was boring anyway, so why not? After all, he’ll be travelling with the man he loves! But first, he needs a change of wardrobe. These fairy-tale-prince clothes didn’t fit his style anyway.
He got Jeego and himself some sweet suits, took his rifle and probably most of the cash out of the kingdom’s budget. Finally, he was ready to leave! What will await them? No one can tell. What we do know, is that they’ll have many adventures.
Also, lots of s…………….
THE END.
